Hey all 'yall.

First of all, thank you for caring enough to subscribe. That's cool of you to want to know what I'm up to. I've never realised how much I work on the American schedule until today where I feel very all alone in the world because everyone's off for Thanksgiving except me who's just working away, all by myself (almost).

Last Friday, Hailley and I released episode 19 of MakeWorkWork in collaboration with a service I personally use, called ILYS. I really like that service and over having a conversation with Mike from ILYS about this project he suggested we'd read The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron.

It became a really interesting exploration of writing and creativity and I'm really glad we took on this challenge. Even the production of the episode became harder than normal and I feel like we both really pushed ourselves on this one. I'm so proud of how it came out, and now Mike has not only linked to the episode from ILYS.com, but also to my three-part writing series I released earlier this year.

Part I: Coming Up With Ideas
Part I grounds the series, and is aimed at a person who wants to write or is new to writing. It's about noticing when you get inspired, to pay attention to what you want to write about, but also recognising if your ideas should get shared with the world.

Part II: The Process

Part II is the post I really care about, it's about the process and it's about accepting that the process is long and hard and you will suck but then also you can get it done and it will be worthwhile.

Part III: The Tools I Use

The tools inevitably become a part of the process, but I didn't want them to distract from the message in part II. That's why the tools I use get their own place in part III.

How To Network Like A Pro In 10 Manageable Steps on LinkedIn
This is an old Medium article I posted in 2015 I spruced up a little. I was challenging myself to publish something that doesn't quite meet my 'perfectionist' standards, which was hard. It seems to be well received though, so a reminder to not let perfect be the enemy of good.

Making the Most of the Medium on gogo.promogogo.com
As you know I published on my personal website about Selena Gomez' two new videos, since it didn't feel strong enough to go on the main blog for PROMOGOGO.

When I came across what another singer, K. Flay was doing with her online presence, I was able to anchor the themes of creativity and promotion around music in a better way. The themes explored on using the music promotion itself as a creative outlet is still very much on my mind, and is something I continue to look for examples on.

The 2020 Grammy Nominations on radar.promogogo.com
I love when the Grammy nominations are out. What an amazing way to reflect on what's been happening over the year. Seeing Lizzo there at the top is so freaking amazing,

I've become a huge fan of her work and can't wait to see what she does next. It feels like a materialisation of how far we've come in the 21st century if we compare talking about Britney's virginity in the early 2000s to Lizzo stating herself "just me existing is revolutionary" as she sits on 8 Grammy nominations.
